Gail Waid

Miss Gail Waid, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Waid, of Meadville, died Sunday morning in Cleveland City Hospital after suffering an attack of infantile paralysis.

The young girl was about to enter her junior year at Meadville High School in September.  She was well-known and popular among her classmates.  At the time she became ill, she was visiting relatives in Cleveland for her summer vacation.

Miss Waid is survived by her parents; two brothers, Herbert, Jr. and Richard, both at home; and three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Smith of Harmonsburg and Bennington W. Waid of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Harmonsburg Cemetery.
