Gary E. Beebe, 73, of Meadville, passed away surrounded by family Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born in Carlton, PA March 10, 1938 a son of Herschel E. Beebe and Helen A. Wood Beebe Brown.
He was a 1956 graduate of Meadville High School and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed woodworking and was truly a "jack-of-all-trades."
At one time he owned and operated a gas station in Erie, Meadville and Arizona, worked for Layke Tool and Mfg. in Arizona and Starn Tool and Mfg retiring in 2000. He also taught at the Precision Manufacturing Institute in Meadville and Dunkirk, NY. In 2008 he purchased and opened Mukabees Bar and Grill on North St., Meadville.
Survivors, include his loving fiancee, Monika Kaloostian of Meadville; three sons, Michael of Florida, Robert of Phoenix, AZ and David "Shorty" of Meadville; five daughters, Deanna, Debbie and Shelly Kay of Phoenix, AZ, Margie of California and Barbara Jo of Eugene, OR; a sister, Janet Warden of Meadville; his fiancee Monika's two daughters, Karen and Ursula both of Meadville; his step father Frank H. Brown of Saegertown; a brother-in-law, F. Ernest Pardee of California, 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren a great great grandson, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Pardee.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, Chaplain of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
