Gary L. Shouey, 55, of 15005 Ridge Rd., Meadville, died Monday, September 13, 2004 at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.
He was born December 29, 1948 in Meadville, a son of the late Merle and Arlene Shellhammer Shouey. He married Pam Turner May 20, 1989.
He was a 1967 graduate of Meadville High School. He worked for 35 years for National Fuel, retiring in 2004 as a foreman. He was a member of Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department and Norrisville Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 15 years, include 2 daughters, Kelly Buster and her husband Phillip of DeBary, FL and Ashley Shouey at home; a step-daughter, Kim Tyler and her husband Jay of Springboro; and 2 step-granddaughters, Brandy and Michelle Casbolmn.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lea Guiney, Pastor of Little’s Corners United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Denny Cemetery.
