Gary L. Weaver, Jackson Twp., Mercer, Pa. passed away on June 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness.
Born July 8, 1945 in Jackson Township, he was a son of Floyd H. and Ruth A. Vogus Weaver.
Gary retired after many years as a counselor from the PA State Regional Correctional Facility, Mercer.
He was a faithful and long-time member of the Remnant Church of God, Stoneboro.
Gary was a US Army Veteran.
He enjoyed flea markets, going to auctions and going to the races and watching his grandson Jeremy, but most of all he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife, the former Bethel O. “Beth” Dulaney, whom he married March 30. 1968, survives at home; also surviving is a daughter, Tracy L. (Chad) Combs, and two sons: Ryan M. Weaver and Aaron J (Jennifer) Weaver, six grandchildren: Kristen McFadden, Lacey Weaver, Tyler Weaver, Jordan Weaver, Jeremy Weaver and Brayden Paglusch and two very special great-grandchildren, Olivia and Bryson Gallo. Also, a sister Carol (John) Liska and a brother Dale (Rosemary) Weaver.
Gary was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Maddison Noel Weaver, seven sisters and four brothers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10 AM, with Craig Lambert, Pastor of Remnant Church of God, officiating.
Entombment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City, Pa.
