Genevieve P. (Gene) Hunter

Genevieve P. (Gene) Hunter, 84, formerly of Elyria, OH, and a patient at Crawford County Care Center Saegertown, PA, died there Thursday, November 4, 1999.

She was born in Guys Mills, PA, September 8, 1915, a daughter of Datus and Ida Hillard Hunter.

She was a graduate of Guys Mills Public Schools and had been employed as a Fiscal Accounting Clerk for the US Navy Finance Center, Cleveland, OH, from 1945 until her retirement in 1973.  She had traveled extensively in the US and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Hunter of Meadville and Violet Murray of Saegertown; a brother, Rodney Hunter (Faleda) of Guys Mills; six nieces and nephews, Roy Hunter, Wanda Sutton, Ijenna Getty, Bonnie Laemer, Sandra Atkins and Stephanie Snook.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Hunter and Guyla Morris and a brother, Karl Hunter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
