Georga M. Grimes

Georga M. Grimes, 89, of 335 Meadow St., Meadville died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at her residence.

She was born July 16, 1917 in Windsor, NY, a daughter of the late George A. and Viva Chase Mallery.  She married Robert G. Grimes August 17, 1940.

She attended Syracuse University, Binghamton, NY campus, was a homemaker, and worked as secretary to the Principal at Windsor Central School, Windsor, NY.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and former Sunday School teacher, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 190, Windsor.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Robert G. Grimes, Sr. of Meadville, include a son, Robert G. Grimes, Jr. of Clear Lake, IN; 2 daughters, Margy Miller and her husband Ted of Batavia, NY and Mary Rupert and her husband David of Columbus, OH; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Walter R. DeVoe.

Calling hour will be Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where a funeral and committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church and the Revs. Andy Rupert and Brad Miller, grandsons officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
