George B. Francis

George B. Franis, 76, of Pinellas Park, FL, formerly of Meadville, died early Saturday, November 4, 1961, at Pinellas Park after a long illness.

He was born in Ellwood City August 29, 1885, a son of William and Mary Catherine Smith Francis.  His wife, the former Goldie Donaldson, died in 1939.

He had lived in Florida since 1945.  He was an employee of the park department in Meadville for about 20 years and later was employed at the Keystone Ordinance Works.  While living here he was a member of First Baptist Church and its Men's Bible Class and the Bird and Tree Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John S. (Dorothy) Coutler of Meadville and Mrs. Louis (Geraldine Mae) Witte of Pinellas Park; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
