George E. Clark

April 22, 1889 — December 24, 1971

George E. Clark, 82, of Meadville, died at his home Friday morning, December 24, 1971, after an illness of six months.

He was born in Randolph Township April 22, 1889, a son of Gamaliel P. and Elcie Gray Clark.  He first married Minnie Hill on September 13, 1911.  She died in 1956.  He married Myrtle Childs Roberts September 14, 1956.

Mr. Clark was a retired employee of City Hospital where he was first an orderly and later a licensed practical nurse.  He previously had been on orderly at Warren State Hospital and he was a licensed minister in Warren County for 20 years.  He was a member of Meadville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Surviving are his widow; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Harriet) Rankin of Connueatville; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Clark of Erie and Mrs. Irene Clark of Warren; a brother, Raymond of Garland; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
