George F. Kibler, 89, of Meadville, died at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Tuesday, March 29, 1977, after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized two weeks.
Born in Warren, OH, on June 12, 1887, he was a son of Edward and Catherine Schmidt Kibler. He married Jessie M. Roberts of May 15, 1917. Mr. Kibler retired in 1958 from Talon Division of Textron, Inc., where he had been employed as a production clerk. He was a World War I veteran of the US Army and was a member of First Baptist Church, the Men's Bible Class of the church, Cussewago IOOF Lodge and the Charles N. Stafford American Legion Post.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Fred H. Kibler of Meadville; four sisters, Mrs. Clara McCarthy, Mrs. Helen Jump and Miss Carrie Kibler, all of Akron, OH and Miss Ruth Kibler of Niles, OH; a brother, Herbert Kibler of Warren, OH and one grandson, Dennis Kibler.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
