George F. Lemon

January 31, 1900 — December 26, 1984

George F. Lemon, 94, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, following a period of declining health.  He was a resident of Wesbury since 1989.

He was born January 31, 1900, in Randolph Township, a son of Stanley and Suzie Brawley Lemon.  He married Evelyn Bossard December 23, 1923 and she preceded him in death December 26, 1984.

He was self-employed doing painting and decorating work throughout the area.  For many years he was also the Sexton of the Blooming Valley Cemetery.  He was a member of the Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, life member of the Local #1066 International Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Allied Trades, and a member of the Blooming Valley Cemetery Assn. Board of Directors.

Survivors include one brother, Donald Lemon of Roseburg, OR; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Lemon; two brothers, James and Frank Lemon and four sisters, Mildred Bossard, Eleanor Schlosser, Elizabeth Bradshaw and Marie Tressler.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
