George H. Smith

January 25, 1904 — February 7, 1966

George H. Smith, 62, of Guys Mills, died suddenly at his home Monday, February 7, 1966.

He was born in Randolph Township, Crawford County, January 25, 1904, a son of E. Herman and Adora Wygant Smith and married Ila Poly February 22, 1927.

A farmer, Mr. Smith was employed as a shipping clerk at Rex Carpenter Packing Co., Townville, for 18 years.  He was a life member of Moose Lodge of Meadville.

Surviving, besides his widow are five daughters, Mrs. Francis (Phyllis) Tolan of Doylestown, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Brenoel of Cochranton, Mrs. James (Jeannine) Kebort of Meadville, Mrs. William (Gladys) McFaddin of Altoona and Miss Patricia Ann Smith of Denver; two sons, George H. Smith, Jr. of Denver and Merle C. of McKeesport; a sister, Mrs. Ancinohie Corey of Meadville and twenty-four grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
