George Harrison Brock

George Harrison Brock, 83, of Meadville, will known real estate and insurance man, died October 7, 1961 following a heart attack.

He operated Brock Real Estate and Insurance Agency for many years.  It was one of the oldest real estate businesses in the city.

Mr. Brock was born in Downsville, NY, August 3, 1878, a son of George D. and Maria Williams Brock, and married the former Viola D. Lewis in June, 1946.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pomona Grange and Meadville Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving, besides his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Homer (Helen) Thornton of Conneaut Lake, Mrs. W. C. (Louise) Van Horn of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Richard (Dr. Mary) Duffy of Knoxville, TN; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Steven (Alice) Pavilisin of Denver, CO; a sister, Mrs. Walter L. (Nettie) Burkhardt of Meadville; a brother, Howell of Meadville; and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
