George S. Kindervater

July 17, 1870 — October 9, 1947

George S. Kindervater, 78, of Meadville, died on Saturday afternoon at Meadville City Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week.

He came here from Pittsburgh 34 years ago, was an Erie Railroad employee for 24 years, and belonged to the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and Blooming Valley Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his widow are three sons, Roy of Guys Mills, Gardner and James of Meadville; two daughters, Mrs. Byron Kindervater of Hanna, WY and Mrs. Fred Jacket of Saegertown; two brothers, Clarence of Meadville and Otto of Hopewell, Nova Scotia; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Parks of Somerville, MA, Mrs. Naoma Sharp of Moser River, NS and Mrs. Mary Ashley of New Glasgow, NS; twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
