George R. Babcock

George R. Babcock, 66, of Geneva, PA died Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Muncy, PA April 18, 1945 a son of George D. and Barbara Ashkar Babcock.  He married Susan J. Myers May 4, 1973 and she survives.

He was a foreman for Penn Line Tree Service and also was self-employed doing small contracting jobs.  He served in the US Air Force in the early 1960’s.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeler riding, flying model airplanes and spending time with his family.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Susan of 38 years, include: two sons, Quin Babcock of Cochranton and Wayland Babcock of Geneva; two grandchildren Abigail Jane Babcock and Gregory Ronald Babcock; two sisters, Barbara Mueller of Philadelphia and Linda in North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
