George W. Casher

George W. Casher, Sr., 56, of Conneautville, died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at his home.

He was born in Port Matilda, February 6, 1943, a son of the late George Casher McManus, who survives.

He served in the US Navy from 1964 to 1968.

For most of his life, he was a truck driver and a laborer.

He was a member of Conneautville American Legion Post 615 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and car racing/

He was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to his mother of Three Springs, survivors include a son, George W. Casher, Jr. of McConnellsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Tim (Tammy) Whary of Lewsitown, Pvt. Alisha Lynn Seville of Ft. Carson, CO and Debbra Seville of McConnellburg; a brother, Tommy McManus of Three Springs; eight grandchildren and his companion, Ellen Penfield of Conneautville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Casher and a grandchild.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Friends Cemetery, Halfmoon Township, Centre County.
