Georgia S. Glenn, 102, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since October 1991, died there Sunday, February 16, 1997, following a brief illness.
She was born in Cochranton, March 25, 1894, a daughter of Henry and Daisy Best Stover. She married Paul M. Glenn in 1921. He preceded her in death in 1953.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and Meadville Commercial College Class of 1914. She retired in 1959 as secretary in the Crawford County School office. In the 1940s she owned and operated the Palmer's Store in Saegertown.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church since 1909 and was a former church secretary.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Wilda) Sippy of Meadville and Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Boyd of Saegertown; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Boyd; a sister; a brother and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
