Gerald G. (Jerry) Ellis

Gerald G. (Jerry) Ellis, 68, of Hartstown, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 30, 1949 in Meadville, a son of Wilford C. and Ruth M. Hughes Ellis.  He married Jean Durkoske September 27, 1975 and she survives.

Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and attended Penn State University, Behrend in the metallurgy program.  He was employed at Advanced Cast Products for 40 years, retiring as foreman of the foundry.

Jerry was a former member of the Conneautville VFD and Hartstown VFD.  He loved farming, being outdoors, and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Jean of 41 years, include five sons, Michael Ellis and his wife Julie of Michigan, Raymond Ellis and his wife Dianna of Hartstown, Richard Ellis and his wife Michelle of Andover, OH, Gerald Ellis, Jr. and his wife Erica of Hartstown, and James Ellis and his wife Trina of New York; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Cody, and Gunnar Ellis, Brendan Husk, and Domenic, Miranda, Lincoln, and Zoe Ellis; a brother, Jack Ellis and his wife Sally of Conneautville; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 3rd from 3 to 7 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE.

The funeral service will be Sunday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in McMichael Cemetery, E. Fallowfield Township, Crawford County.
