Gerald L. Talbot
March 30, 1936 — January 12, 2017
Gerald L. Talbot, 80, of Hartstown and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 2013 died there, Thursday, January 12, 2017.
He was born in Atlantic March 30, 1936 a son of Frank Victor and Wanda May Courtney Talbot. He married Jean M. Matteson February 26, 1954 and she preceded him in death April 28, 2011.
He attended Fallowfield and then Jamestown schools and worked for 30 years as an electrician with IBEW #712 retiring in 1991. He was a lifetime member of the Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Station #5 and a member of the Linesville VFW Post #7842. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
He is survived by three daughters, Karla Norr and her husband Marvin of Hartstown, Kelli Cassidy and her husband John of Meadville and Cindy Dillon of Atlantic; six grandchildren, Lisa Haibach, Jill Gambel, Misty Jackson, Jason Jackson, Mandy Talbot and Lacee Dillon; three great grandchildren, Alex, Morgan and Stone and two great great grandchildren, Ace and Cabella and one due in May; two sisters, Rena Rigby in Texas and Patricia Miller and her husband Michael of Burgettstown, PA; a brother, Lloyd Talbot of Tucson, AZ and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo F. Talbot.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. The memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
