Gerald Wayne (Jerry) Leach, 63, of Meadville died Friday, October 5, 2007 at his residence.
He was born in Meadville September 2, 1944 the son of Wayne and Agnes McFarland Leach. Jerry graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1963 and was of the Protestant Faith. He served proudly with the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He worked for Westford Telephone Co., several plastic companies in the area and most recently for Pymatuning State Park.
He was a member of Linesville American Legion Post #462, an avid coon hunter and breeder of coon dogs. He enjoyed story telling and visiting his neighbors and many friends, reading local newspapers, watching all sports, especially sports car racing and boxing.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Leach of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Missy Leach of Hawthorne, NV; a step-son, Tony Ruse of South Korea; three sisters, Gloria Gaylord Wright (Alan) of Willoughby, OH, Margaret Reese (Jon) of Guys Mills and Ginny Trimble of Conneaut Lake; a brother, Jim Leach of Richmond, VA and two grandsons, Adam and Jordan; and good friend, Tom McAdams of Meadville.
His father Wayne Leach preceded him in death.
Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
Interment was in Espyville Cemetery.
