Gerald R. Nageotte

Gerald R. “Jerry” Nageotte, age 72 of Meadville passed away Monday afternoon, January 6, 2025, in UPMC Hamot after a lengthy illness. 

He was born in Meadville on October 2, 1952, the son of Carl and Virginia (Potts) Nageotte. On September 20, 2002, Jerry married the former Denise Paterson, she survives. 

Jerry was an animal lover, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and working outside.

He was employed in the maintenance department at Economic Progress Alliance for 20 years and St. Moritz at Allegheny College for 5 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, two daughters, Ashley Nageotte and Lindsey Nageotte both of Cortland, NY; a son Michael Nageotte of Ravena, NY; two granddaughters, Layla Nageotte and Annalise Keech; a brother, Larry Nageotte and his wife Barbara of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Susan Roschi. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday 1-10-25 at 6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 581 CHESTNUT ST. MEADVILLE with Rev. Dustin Heath, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday 1-10-25 from 4:00 PM until the time of service. 

Inurnment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
