Geraldine S. White

Geraldine S. White, 87, formerly of Suzanne Dr., Meadville (Vernon Township) and a resident of Rolling Fields, Conneautville since October 2008, died there Saturday, February 26, 2011.

She was born February 11, 1924 in Meadville, a daughter of Floyd Calvin and Ruth Bell Waters, Sr.  She married George White September 30, 1977 and he preceded her in death August 3, 1994.

Geraldine was a graduate of Meadville High School, was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol L. Whaley and her husband Roy of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren, Brian K. Culver and his wife Terri of Seattle, WA, Kevin L. Culver and his wife Kim of Franklin, and Marcell (Marcy) Petri of Conneaut Lake, Tonya Whaley of Boulder, CO, and Shane Whaley and Stephanie of McDonough, GA; twelve great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd (Bud) Waters, Jr. and Frederick M. Waters.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.

The funeral and committal service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. William R. Green, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake, officiating.

Interment will be in Geneva Cemetery.
