Geraldine F. (Frey) Younginger
October 11, 1926 — June 21, 2016
Geraldine F. Younginger, 89, formerly of Meadville and a resident of Raleigh, NC went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at her residence following a period of declining health.
She was born October 11, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of George and Stella Blacksmith Frey. She married Charles W. Younginger August 27, 1947 and he preceded her in death October 12, 2010.
Geraldine was a 1944 graduate of Brentwood High School, Pittsburgh. A homemaker, she had also worked as a credit manager for 10 years for Sears Roebuck and Company.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by her two daughters, Susan L. McNany of Raleigh, NC and Cheryl L. Holzer and her husband David of Marengo, OH; two grandchildren, Dominique and Ryan Holzer; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles B. Younginger; a sister, Daloris Shesky; and a brother, Melvin Frey.
A private family viewing and funeral service will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with the Rev. Dave Brumagin officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
