Gertrude H. Riemann

Gertrude H. Riemann, 90, of Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past six years, died there, Thursday, June 9, 2011.

She was born in Meadville, June 22, 1920 a daughter of Arthur L. and Sara C. Stephenson Riemann.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a buyer at the Crawford Store, where she was very passionate about fashion.

She is survived by a nephew, James A. Carpenter of Erie; a great niece, Annetta Hochstetler and her husband Kevin of Conneaut Lake and a good friend, Betty J. Waite and her husband Kyle of Meadville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite L. Carpenter.

A graveside service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Greendale Cemetery, 700 Randolph Street, Meadville with Rev. Dave Brumagin, Chaplain of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
