Gertrude Irene Castile

Gertrude Irene Castile, 86, of Guys Mills, died Wednesday, November 10, 1999, at Meadville Medical Center, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, September 3, 1913, a daughter of the late James A and Susan Rebecca Foreman Norr.  She married Alma J. Castile November 29, 1930 and he preceded her in death January 7, 1988.

She had been employed at Meadville City Hospital for over 25 years in the dietary department retiring in 1978.

Survivors include two sons, Alfred J. Castile (Margaret) of Meadville and Kenneth E. Castile (Lois) of Guys Mills; a brother, Glenn A. Norr of Meadville; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to his husband by a daughter, Dorothy Ellen Castile; a son, Donald C. Castile; a granddaughter, Sandy Smith; a sister, Nona Harry and three brothers, Clair, Edgar and James Norr.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
