Gertrude S. Maloney

March 29, 1874 — May 3, 1964

Miss Gertrude S. Maloney, 90, former school teacher died Sunday, May 3, 1964, at the Presbyterian Home at Cambridge Springs after an illness of two months.

A daughter of Orville and Isabelle Hunter Maloney, she was born near Wayland, East Mead Township, March 29, 1874.  She was a graduate of Edinboro Normal School and spent most of her life in the Meadville area teaching in Crawford County schools.  She also had taught at Union City and at Coraopolis.  Upon her retirement, she lived at Edinboro for 23 years before moving to the home four years ago.

She was a member of Meadville First Presbyterian Church.

Miss Maloney is survived by a sister, Mrs. Erma Perry of Edinboro and by thirty-one nieces and nephews.  Six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
