Gertrude Shilling

Mrs. Gertrude Shilling, 80, of Meadville, died Tuesday, December 3, 1968, at Mead Nursing Home after an illness of three years.

She was born in East Fairfield Township, August 5, 1888, a daughter of Jacob and Margaret Stein Freyermuth.  She married Thurman C. Shilling August 26, 1910.

She was a member of Meadville Woman's Club, the YWCA, St. Paul's United Church of Christ and several of its organizations and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Aux.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Betty) Miller of Meadville and Mrs. Donald (Jeane) Bare of Vienna, VA; two sons, Robert of Cochranton and Donald of Fort Washington and sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
