Gilbert M. Rickard

Gilbert M. Rickard, 76, of Eustis, FL, since 1974, formerly of Meadville, died Monday, December 31, 1984, at his home.

He was born at Guys Mills, December 9, 1908, a son of Isaiah Benjamin McCleland and Nannie B. Daniels Rickard.  He married Helen Ribb, who preceded him in death in 1971.  He subsequently married Helen Ribb who preceded him in death in 1971.  He subsequently married Mary A. Markum, who survives.

Mr. Rickard had retired from his work as an electrical contractor.  He was a member of former treasurer of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 504, Meadville, and was a member of All-State Tourist Club in Florida.

In addition to his second wife, survivors include two sons, Donald G. Rickard of Unadilla, NY and Lt. Col. Daryl B. Rickard, stationed with the US Air Force at Washington, DC; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Bidwell, Eustis, FL; two brothers, Geoffrey Rickard of Eustis and Isaiah Richard of Meadville and three grandchildren.  In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kingsley Cemetery.
