Girard H. (Jerry) Proctor

Girard H. “Jerry” Proctor, 57, of Meadville passed away in his sleep in North East, PA, Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

He was born in Oil City March 4, 1955 a son of Clifford A. Proctor and Martha Jane Prody.

He was an avid dart player participating in the Village Inn, Fairway 12 and Corry Dart Leagues.  He also bowled in the Salvation Army Bowling League and volunteered in several ways at the Crawford Central School District and with MASH Cheerleading.  He enjoyed karaoke, fishing, wrestling, singing to his bird Bella, spending time with friends and family and helping everyone he could.  He was also a huge Steelers fan.

Survivors, include: two daughters, Kayla Marie Proctor and her boyfriend Jady of Edinboro and Stacy Lynn Proctor and her boyfriend Greg of Meadville and their mom, Penny Proctor of Canton, OH; three sons, Allen Covington of Canton, OH, Robert Covington of Canton, OH and Marion Gene Watkins III and his wife Rachel of Canton, OH; his girlfriend, Suzie Morton of North East; five sisters, Mary Donner and her husband Dan of Jamestown, PA, Kim Kuczynski and her husband Mike of Corry, Bonnie Bish of Florida, Bonnie Ferstler and her husband Ed of Erie and Rachel Bizzaro and her husband Dave of Erie; five brothers, Ivan Luce and his wife Ann of Florida, Victor Luce of Franklin, Chester Luce of Franklin, Bill Luce and his wife Nancy of Rochester, NY and Richard Luce Sr. and his wife Rose of Kentucky and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chadrick A. Proctor; two brothers, John Paul Proctor and Clifford A. Proctor Jr.; a sister, Lillian Proctor and a step-mother, Ula B. Proctor.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA.  The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.
