Gladys J. Crookham

Gladys J. Crookham, 86, of Townville, and a patient of Meadville Health and Rehabilitation Center since April 1992, died there, Tuesday, February 25, 1997 following a period of declining health.

She was born January 27, 1911 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Frank and Emma McClintock Skeel.  She married Harry A. Crookham January 11, 1936.  He preceded her in death March 19, 1973.

Mrs. Crookham worked in the Safe Deposit Department of the former Northwest PA Bank and the Crawford County Trust Co., from 1957 to 1976.  She had also worked at Robbins Furniture Store.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and former member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gail Amy of Townville and two grandchildren, Janeen and Shawn Amy.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Beach and two at infancy.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
