Gladys Pauline Gibson

Gladys Pauline Gibson, 83, of Meadville, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at her residence following a period of declining health.

She was born July 20, 1917 in Greenville, TN, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude Wilson Laughters.  She married William Gibson, October 31, 1936 and he preceded her in death October 1, 1989.

She worked as an administrative assistant at Hillside Home for 31 years, retiring in 1981.  She was a member of Meadville Alliance Church and enjoyed card playing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, Allen L. Gibson (Betty) of Meadville; a daughter, Patsy Yarnell (Raymond) of Meadville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Bradley, Louise Willett and Lavada Casteel, all of Greenville, TN; a son-in-law, Gary McNulty of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley McNulty; an infant son; a sister, Dot Miller; and a brother, Gurney Laughters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
