Gladys V. Eye

Gladys V. Eye, 70, of Woodlands Trailer Park, Meadville, died Friday, July 29, 1988, at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Eklins, WV, September 20, 1917, a daughter of A. D. and Ethel Sponnaugle Colhoun.  She married A. R. (Ruby) Rohr, who preceded her in death in 1961.  She subsequently married Robert C. Eye in 1963.  He survives.

She retired in 1980 from Fisher Big Wheel after several years of employment.  She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, David M. Rohr of Stockbridge, GA and James H. Rohr of Buckannon, WV; a step-daughter, Martha C. Shaffer of Meadville; two stepsons, Robert C. Eye, Jr. of San Francisco, CA and Charles T. Eye with the US Navy in Suffolk, VA; two sisters, Glenna (Nay) Hill of Downey, CA and Ruth Thompson of St. Charles, MO; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
