Glenn G. Hewitt

Glenn G. Hewitt, 84, a resident of the Methodist Home for the Aged for the past five years, died there suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday, June 24, 1970.

He was born in Conneaut Township, Erie County, a son of Jesse E. and Jennie Minerva Godfrey Hewitt.

He was first married in 1908 to the former Nina Mether who preceded him in death.  On April 21, 1945, he married the former Clara G. Shaw who also preceded him in death.

Mr. Hewitt was retired from the Electrical Materials Co., North East.  He was previously employed at the United States Post Office at Erie.

Mr. Hewitt had attended Edinboro State College.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church at North East.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Williams of Erie; three sisters, Mrs. Nola Fortune of Greenville; Mrs. Dorothy Dziak of Lundys Lane and Mrs. Gladys Zimmerly of Erie and one brother, Rex Hewitt of Albion.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Platea Cemetery.
