Glenn W. Hoovler

January 11, 1946 — September 12, 2024

Glenn W “Skin” Hoovler, 78, of Jackson Center, PA, passed away surrounded by family on September 12, 2024. Glenn was born to Glenn and Pauline Hoovler on January 11, 1946 in Sharon, PA. Glenn graduated from Lakeview High School before entering the workforce.

Glenn married the love of his life, Jessica (Munger) Hoovler, on April 21, 1990.

Glenn loved sports, and even more so his Pittsburgh Steelers and his Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a common occurrence to see him walk into a room and hear him say “Isn’t there a ballgame on?” Whether it was Pittsburgh or Penn State, he could find the closest way to keep up with his teams. Glenn loved being in the woods, hunting or just passing time enjoying nature. He was truly happiest with his family, cracking dad jokes left and right. Glenn even earned the title, “King of the Dad Jokes”.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Jessica, and their children; Jan (Bill) Wehr of Butler, PA, Dawn (Mark) Slobom of Devore, CA, Sara (Lauren) Hoovler of Mercer, PA, and Corey (Emily) Hoovler of Georgetown, KY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jonathan Whetstone of Connecticut, Kyle and Tyler (Allison) Slobom of California, and Jackson Hoovler of Kentucky, to cherish his memory. Glenn is survived by one great-grandchild, Owen Slobom. His siblings, Ed Hoovler, Gary (Fuzzy) Hoovler, Mary Riggs, Jane Ferguson, and Judy Heckman, will cherish his memory greatly.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents.
