Gloria F. Kerr, 83, of State Hwy. 198, Saegertown died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital, Erie.
She was born in Zanesville, OH February 4, 1922 a daughter of Francis and Delta Ballinger Fornesi. She married John R. Kerr May 29, 1947 and he survives.
She grew up in Seneca Falls, NY and learned the craft of jewelry repair and engraving at Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, PA. She subsequently taught at the school and met her husband John there. She attended North Richmond United Methodist Church and she enjoyed cooking and also being a homemaker.
Survivors in addition to her husband John of 58 years, include: three daughters, Nancy Walker and her husband Douglas of Fairfield, IA, Margaret Kerr and her husband Hakan Stattin of Nora, Sweden and Anita Szymanski and her husband Joseph of Cambridge Springs; one sister, Georgina Fornesi of Seneca Falls, NY and six grandchildren, Aimee Farley, Justin Sheckler, Tara Sheckler, David Szymanski, Evan Szymanski and John Szymanski.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Geraldine Louise Kerr.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Salmon, Pastor and the Rev. Tom Chacko, Former Pastor of North Richmond United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
