Gordon L. Hotchkiss, 68, of 11328 State Hwy 198, Guys Mills, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
He was born September 25, 1936 in Meadville, a son of the late Joseph L. and Mildred A. Hall Hotchkiss. He married Sara J. (Sally) Flagg Davison August 4, 1973.
He was a 1954 graduate of Randolph High School. He worked at Mercer Spring and Wire Company, Townville for 29 years, retiring in 2002 as a grinder operator. He also worked for Mowris Tree Service.
He was a member of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and was a born again Christian.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 31 years, include 4 stepdaughters, Lois Flagg of Centerville; Judy Feleppa and her husband Anthony of Meadville; Linda Diritsky of Mesa, AZ; and Connie Beck of Meadville; 3 stepsons, Larry Davison and his wife Lois of Bethalto, IL; Rex Davison of Titusville; and Dan Davison and his wife Diane of Meadville; a nephew, Roger Gilbert and his wife Marlene of Spartansburg; 2 grandnephews, Charles and Robert Gilbert, Jr. of Spartansburg; numerous step-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Romaine Gilbert; and a nephew, Norman Gilbert.
There are no calling hours or services planned.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
