Gordon W. Stallard

October 16, 1925 — January 1, 1753

Gordon W. Stallard, 51, of Meadville, was killed in a one-car accident early Sunday morning.

He was born in Meadville, October 16, 1925, a son of Dwight E. and Helen A. Ditch Stallard.  He married Margaret Proper March 3, 1951.

Employed by PA Electric Co. for 28 years, he was chief lineman.  He was a member of Elks Lodge 219; Meadville Eagles Lodge; Meadville Club; West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Dept. and served with the US Army in the Philippines during World War II.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Robin) McKinney of Meadville; a son, Michael Stallard at home; his mother of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Edward (Sandra) Stevenson of Meadville; three brothers, Dwight J. Stallard and Richard L. Stallard, both of Conneaut Lake and Delmar  C. Stallard of Saegertown.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Ewing and Emory.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
