Grace E. Craven

Miss Grace E. Craven, 76, who operated a dress shop in Meadville about 20 years, died at City Hospital, Sunday, December 8, 1957, as a result of injuries received in a fall down stairs Friday.

A Meadville resident for about 50 years, Miss Craven was associated with the now defunct Meadville Drygoods Co. before opening her own dress shop.

Her shop first was located on The Diamond.  Later, she moved the store to Park Avenue.  She retired four years ago and has been ill since then.

A native of South Shenango Township, she was born December 18, 1880, a daughter of Richard and Mary Ellsworth Craven.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving besides are seven nephews and four nieces.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in South Shenango Cemetery.
