Grace Frances Roselle Morrison, 91, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community since May 2004 and formerly of Erie, Beaver Center, and Lake Wales, FL, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Wesbury United Methodist Community
She was born in Jamestown, NY March 18, 1916, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Parasiliti Roselle. She married Lawrence Morrison November 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death April 3, 2003.
She was a homemaker who was formerly active with the Bee Cee Club (Beaver Center Club) and the “Kitchen Band” of Beaver Center. She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed cooking for her family, doing puzzles with her grandchildren, plants, flowers, needlework, and musical programs. A lifelong learner, she completed her high school degree following relocation to Florida. She was a member of the Beaver Center Grange and formerly active at the Avon Park Florida Grange.
She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Peterman of Meadville; 4 sons, Larry D. Morrison, Jr. and his wife Charlene of Madison, OH; Raymond E. Morrison and his wife Christine of Albion; Carl E. Morrison and his wife LuAnne of Shaker Heights, OH; and Kevin W. Morrison and his wife Valerie of Mentor, OH; 2 stepdaughters, Mary Lou Cummings of Panama City Beach, FL and Betty Wyant and her husband Paul of Franklin; 2 brothers, James Roselle and his wife Cathy of Jamestown, NY and Joseph Roselle and his wife Lois of Monroe, NC; 2 sisters, Anna Paterniti of Jamestown, NY and Sara Messina of Jamestown, NY; 10 grandchildren, Charlette, Greg, Chuck, Heather, Julie, T.R., Lance, Michael, Scott, and Annie; 5 step-grandchildren, Margie, Jimmy, Cindy, Paul, and Nicky; 12 great-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; and 8 nieces and 5 nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Philip and Ross Roselle; 2 infant sisters and a step-grandson, Robert Borger.
Calling hours will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville and Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Barco Chapel of Grace Health Center, Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Abe Edwards, Pastor of New Life Community Church of Fairview and Pastor Chuck Peterman, Pastor of Creekside Christian Church, Jacksonville, FL, Grandson, officiating.
Interment will be in Beaver Center Cemetery.
