Grace Jane Ewing

Mrs. Grace Jane Ewing, 85, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Monday, May 9, 1960, following an illness of one month.

She had lived in Meadville for the past 26 years.  She lived in Corry for 30 years prior to coming to Meadville for the past 26 years.  She lived in Corry for 30 years prior to coming to Meadville and spent her early life in the Hartstown area.

Mrs. Ewing was born in Hartstown, May 8, 1875, a daughter of William Yates and Elizabeth Gay Mason.

She married Thomas R. Ewing in 1904.  He died June 23, 1951.

Mrs. Ewing was a member of First Presbyterian Church, of the Priscillas and Women's Assn. of the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Ethel E. Ewing of Long Beach, CA and Miss Ruth H. Ewing of Hamilton, OH; three sons, Donald H. of Cuba, IL, Dr. Fred of Meadville and Orlo A. of Erie; a brother, Harry H. Mason of Jamestown; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
