Grace M. Erbe

Grace M. Erbe, 94, formerly of Davenport St., Meadville and a current resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died there Thursday, July 22, 2004.

She was born in Chicora, Butler County May 15, 1910, a daughter of the late Curtis and Ella Smith McCollough.

She worked as a sales clerk at the former Wirt’s Drug Store for 18 years.  She previously worked for several years as a healthcare worker at various healthcare facilities.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.  An avid reader with a special love of family, she took great pride, interest, and dedication in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Edith Rounds of Meadville; a son, Donald E. Erbe and his wife Peggy of Summerville, SC; 6 grandchildren, Reid Rounds and his wife Cathy, Jeff Rounds, Vanessa Willoughby, Randy Erbe and his wife Dawn, Lee Erbe, and Russell Erbe and his wife Amanda; 2 step grandchildren, Linda Dubiel and Ronnie Dubiel; 9 great-grandchildren, Lisa Ohman, Kyle Rounds, Allen Rounds, Ian Willoughby, Sean Erbe, April Grace Erbe, Christopher Erbe, Hannah Erbe, and Jordan Grace Erbe; 2 step great grandchildren Ryan Dubiel and Tré Dubiel and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Vera Little, Mary Wolford, Lauretta Grazier, and Bertha Gibson; 2 brothers, T.O. McCollough and Byron McCollough; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Rounds.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral and committal service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Aschmann, Pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
