Grace S. Smith

January 18, 1919 — November 11, 2005

Grace S. Smith, 86, formerly of Woodside Drive, Meadville and a current resident of Rae-Ann Nursing Home, Geneva, OH, died there, Friday, November 11, 2005.

She was born in Titusville January 18, 1919, a daughter of the late Harry and Julia Gustafson Brickner.  She married Howard W. Smith November 6, 1943 and he preceded her in death November 9, 2003.

She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Wykoff and her husband Gary of Meadville; a son, Ward W. Smith and his wife Linda; 2 sisters, Julia Freeman of Grand Prairie, TX and Lois Brickner of Grand Valley, AZ; 2 brothers, Harry Brickner of Davidville and James Brickner of Franklin; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Anna Turner and Ruth Keys; and a brother, Paul Brickner.

Calling hours will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral and committal service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Moran, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
