Granville P. Briggs

Granville P. Briggs, 67, of Meadville, died Thursday, June 7, 1951 at City Hospital after a five-weeks illness.

Mr. Briggs had spent most of his life in Blooming Valley until he moved to Meadville five years ago.  He was employed by Talon, Inc., for the past seven years, and was a member of Blooming Valley Grange.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Edward Ervin, Mrs. Lovell Hersh, Clarence Briggs, Richard Briggs, Mrs. Max Tinker, Mrs. Floyd Loftus, Granville Briggs, Jr., Ruric Briggs; and ten grandchildren.  Mr. Briggs' wife died in September, 1945.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
