Greta J. Prenatt, 79, of Harmonsburg Road, Conneaut Lake, died Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Meadville Medical Center.
She was born February 18, 1930 in Ellwood City a daughter of Joseph and Alberta Siverling Grippe. She married Robert J. Prenatt at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs on May 19, 1956 and he survives.
She was a 1947 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. She worked as a waitress at the Meadville K-Mart and at the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially watching her granddaughter in her sports activities, her flowers and the many years she spent the winter with her husband in Florida.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Robert, of 53 years, include: three sons, Robert J. Prenatt, Jr. and his wife Linda of Harmonsburg, Tod E. Prenatt and his wife Laurie of Linesville and Mark O. Prenatt of Erie; a daughter, Holly A. Bone of Harmonsburg; five grandchildren, Tim, Chad, Joey and Brenna Prenatt and Carly Bone; one step grandchild, Jamie Flores; two brothers, Carl E. Grippe of Sarasota, FL and Patrick Grippe and his wife Susan of Calcutta, OH and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Marie French and Mary Ann Smock.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, 155 S. Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake with Fr. Steve Anderson, celebrant.
Inurnment will be in the Queen of the Americas Cemetery columbarium.
The family suggests memorials be made to Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, 155 S. Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
