Gwendola M. Walls

Gwendola M. Walls, 91, formerly of Meadville, died Monday, August 3, 1987, following a lengthy illness, at Crawford County Home, where she had been a resident since May 1975.

She was born in Cherry Tree, Clearfield County, August 7, 1895, a daughter of Jess and Florence Pittman Sutton.  She married Joseph H. Walls, Sr., who preceded her in death November 16, 1953.

She was a member of Meadville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Anna Mae Walls and Mrs. William (Betty Jane) Davern, both of Meadville; six sons, Joseph H. Walls, Jr., Paul Edward Walls and Jerry Walls, all of Meadville, Jack S. Walls of Blooming Valley, Robert F. Walls of Grand Valley and Waldon D. Walls of Lincoln, NE; one brother, Paul Sutton of Indiana, PA; twenty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaretta Jean and one sister, Mrs. Mary Yingling.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
