H. Louise Novak

H. Louise Novak, 98, of Meadville and a resident of Rolling Fields since September 2007, died there Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

She was born in Randolph Twp., Crawford County, September 21, 1913 a daughter of Jesse M. and Lela Bentley Gage.  She married Lawrence Eckert in 1930 and subsequently married Nicholas Novak in 1948 and he preceded her in death December 10, 1981.

She attended Guys Mills and Meadville Public Schools and then worked at Talon Inc. retiring in 1962.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors, include a son, Richard L. Eckert and his wife Marguerite of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren, Nina Stiles, Kurt Eckert and Paul Eckert; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Stiles and Katherine Stiles; two step-great grandchildren, John Stiles and Jennifer Stiles and four great great grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marilyn Eckert and four brothers, Willis Gage, Wayne Gage, Wilbur Gage and Homer Gage.

Private family interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 828 N. Main Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
