H. Morris (Chub) Dean, 74, of Vernon Township, died at City Hospital, Sunday, August 11, 1985, following a brief illness.
He was born at Vernon Township, February 28, 1911, a son of Harry J. and Roberta Cutshall Dean. He was a lifelong resident of the township. He married Dorothy Mosier December 25, 1935. She survives.
He was employed for several years by American Viscose Co., as a foreman in the pipe fitting department. He was a plumber by trade and retired from construction work while associated with Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local.
Mr. Dean was a member of Stone United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and was a member of Konyacht Kickers square dance group.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Marjorie) Foreman of Meadville; a son, David M. Dean of Lolo, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Miller of Meadville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Dennys Cemetery.
