H. Wayne Skip Dean

H. Wayne “Skip” Dean, 65, of Hall Road, Meadville, died at home Monday, February 7, 2005, after a 2-year battle with cancer.

He was born in Meadville January 28, 1940, a son of Arthur & Clara Wasson Dean. He married Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Beatty, May 25, 1963, and she survives.

He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict with the U. S. Army and retired in 2003 from Saegertown Manufacturing Co., after 38 years of service.  He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and enjoyed blue grass music and being with his family and his blue grass family.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 41 years, include 1 daughter Monica Erdos and her husband Ted of Meadville, 3 grandchildren, Marley, Lexie, and Lainie, and 1 sister, Virginia Snyder of Greenville.

Calling hours will be today (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St. with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Herald Ferraro, pastor of First Church of God, officiating.
