Harley Applegate, 82, of Caselberry, FL, formerly of Guys Mills, died Thursday, March 29, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Winter Park, FL.
Mr. Applegate was born in Guys Mills, February 28, 1908, a son of Ward and Fern Cutshall Applegate. He married Mabel Hunt on December 7, 1928. She survives.
He had been employed as a roofer and laborer. He previously was employed at the former American Viscose Co. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Jeannette) Berezoski of Dominquiz Hills, CA, Mrs. Charles (Betty Lou) Damico, Jr. of Meadville and Mrs. Will (Carolyn) Collier of Caselberry, FL; three sisters, Margaret McCarl of Guys Mills, Lurlie Rickard of Eustis, FL and Ruth Grundy of Meadville; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ward Applegate; and a sister, Jaunita Bowdoin.
Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Poole of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
