Harley J. Terrill, 72, of Lakeland, FL, died Saturday, July 18, 1959, at City Hospital, where he had been a patient for about 12 hours.
Terrill was born in Guys Mills, October 17, 1886, a son of Fred and Lucinda Thompson Terrill. A retired auto mechanic, he formerly operated garages in Guys Mills and Blooming Valley. He spent his summers in this area.
He was married to the former Bessie Hayes, who died in 1923 and subsequently married to Edith M. Reese Gourley, who survives.
In addition to his widow, his is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Stella) Morrison of Faulkner, NY, Mrs. Bernard (Lois) Stainbrook of Elyria, OH and Mrs. William Irlam, Jr. of Meadville; four sons, Frederick and Merton of Guys Mills, Marshall of Erie and Dewey of Blooming Valley; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Clare Hunter of Guys Mills; a stepson, John R. Gourley of Venango; twenty-four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
