Harley W. Ferry, 70, of Guys Mills, died Friday, October 16, 1987 at Meadville Medical Center. He had been in failing health.
He was born in Sugar Lake, April 28, 1917, a son of Leslie and Catherine Elizabeth Reisinger. He married Mae Unita in 1938, and she preceded him in death July 15, 1971.
He was a self-employed head sawyer until his retirement in 1962. He was a member of Meadville Moose and Meadville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Virginia) Hope of Guys Mills; six sons, Wayne E., Leroy J., Carl L., H. Floyd, and Steven E. Ferry, all of Meadville and Robert L. Ferry of Seattle, WA; a stepson, H. Harold Smith of Troy, AK; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) McDaniels of Guys Mills; two brothers, Franics Ferry of Ohio and Norvin Ferry of Springboro; and sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
